How can a college student who has not job make money for the Holidays?

My boyfriend and his mom both insist on buying me Christmas presents. I don’t want anything becuse my parents can’t afford my family presents and I have no job. I don’t want any presents, because I get the joy of giving rather than recieving. So I want to make some money in some way so I can buy my boyfriend something nice, and I would love to help my mom buy my siblings gifts for the holidays too

It’s hard to answer your question because I feel like In a similar situation. I’m a college student as well and not having a job makes it difficult. I would be able to buy gifts if I wanted to through student loans but than I would be sacrificing my schooling.

I can understand that you want to buy presents for your siblings because little kids like receiving presents. As you get older, the need and desire for presents becomes less and less. Now for you boyfriend, I’m sure you want to get him something to show him how much you care for him.

Here is my suggestion
I would explain to your boyfriend your situation. Tell him that you are unable to buy gifts for your family and you are in a tough situation. If he is a good man, I’m sure he will understand.

Now, if you feel uncomfortable with him buying you gifts because you won’t be able to buy him gifts in return than I would suggest telling him not to. If he still insists on buying gifts for you to show you he cares, than I would ask him not to buy them for you but instead to buy them for you siblings. This way you are showing your siblings you care about them and also letting your boyfriend show he cares about you through the use presents.

As a boyfriend, all I want to do is make my girlfriend happy. I have no desire for her to give me a gift unless it brings a smile to her face. I really don’t care what I have to do; the only thing I’m looking for is the smile on my girlfriends face.
