how to make my boyfriend kick his lazy brother out?

My boyfriends brother has been living rent free for 4 1/2 years. My boyfriend does not make a lot of money and always complains thats y we aren;t engaged. The brother has also not worked in 4 1/2 years. Every time my boyfriend gives him a month, he weasels his way to stay some how. He also talks badly about me because he doesn’t want to lose his sugar daddy. I have told my boyfriend he is harming his brother who is a grown man, but he doesn;’t see it and/or feels too bad to kick him out. How do i get rid of this guy?
Patrick, I do understand a brother bond. I also have brothers. But if it was going on for four and a half years that I was supporting them, I’m hurting them more than helping them. The brother is a grown man, not a teenager, in which case I could be understanding. But he does NOTHING other than watch tv, while my boyfriend and i bust our behinds. You really need to sit the BF down and tell him to “man up”. You are not going to be engaged nor marry him until he kicks his mooching brother to the curb. Make it clear that you can’t build a life and family with this git in the picture.
Add one more motivator… if he doesn’t get rid of the mooch, you will leave him.

He needs to serve his brother notice once more (say… 2 weeks), bring home a bunch of boxes for his brother to pack his stuff in, then go to the county courthouse with a modest fee and file for a forcible eviction.

In the meantime, he needs to put a lock-box on the thermostat set to the cheap side of uncomfortable, cancel the cable TV and internet services, and quit buying groceries other than peanut butter and crackers. That will probably do a world of good right there.

Tell your BF not to worry about his brother being mad at him… he has worn out his welcome everywhere else. The mooch needs to get to work and support himself… he’s had a 4.5 year vacation.
