Why do people worry about how much money the Government?

spends they the ones with the money machine can,t they make more money when they need more plus it’s not our pictures on any of the money so the way i see it the money it’s only for our own use but it still belongs to the government?

If the government prints too much money, it’s called inflation, and the value of the money diminishes. The more you print, the more worthless it becomes.

This happened during the Great Depression, for instance. In Europe, countries like Hungary and Germany printed so much money, people were having to bring wheelbarrows filled with cash to the grocery store just to buy one loaf of bread.

People worry about the government’s use of money because it is our money, the people’s money. I pay my taxes, and it’s a kind of social contract. I’m not just giving that money away – I expect my representatives in government, my employees in effect, to spend the money wisely. When they don’t do that, folks get upset, and sometimes they get fired, voted out of office.

What people are worried about right now is that despite how high our taxes are, those of us without the proper political connections I mean, the government is spending more than it’s taking in, and running up a huge deficit. Our military spending in particular is out of control, and there are worries about how the future generations are going to have to pay for all this.
