How To Make Money Roofing

how to make money roofing
How on earth do property investors make any money when you compare purchase price to rental return?

For example, a home selling for $350,000 will very likely rent for $350 p/wk. I’ve used mortgage calculators, and I can’t figure out how it could be a money-making venture with all outgoing expenses and having to pay the shortfall in mortgage payments as well. I know negatively-geared property is an asset tax-wise, but geez, how much money must be lost to get that tax break anyway? How long are you willing to pay for a roof over someone else’s head? I know I’m missing something here – please enlighten me? Thanks in advance. :-)

The biggest thing is the building of equity while writing off all the tax breaks provided fo rental properties. You may only get $350 a week, but you will probably be depreciating that property and taking write offs that will nearly equal that amount. So, in essence, you own a property worth $350k while someone else is making the payments on it for you. This property, by the way, grows in value at a rate of 10% per year (national average). Try to find a bank account that will give you that. this growth provides you with the opportunity to take out money in equity loans to buy more property or to sit on it and cash in at the end of the venture with a nice profit.
