How To Make Money Shoplifting

Please HELP! How much jailtime for shoplifting?

I asked this question earlier…hopefully more people will answer now. A friend of mine shoplifted some jewelry about 5 years ago. It was under $100. She spent 6 days in jail and was released on a bond. But, she never really got it taken care of. She found out she has a bench warrant now and she owes the court a little over $600. She is afraid to make a court appearance because she doesn’t want to go to jail. She hasn’t done anything since. She really straightened out her life. She’s in college now and doesn’t want to be taken into custody and have to drop out of her classes this semester. Plus, she doesn’t have the money to pay them yet. Do you think she will get jail time? (By the way, this is in California if that matters…)

She definetly needs to appear in court or it will only get worse. All she needs to do is pay her fine, she has already served her time which was 6 days. If she has problems paying the court in one lump sum then she can set up payments. She may have to go to jail if she avoids this problem any futher.
