How do i make sure my landlord doesn’t find out i’m working?

i’m on disability, but i need a job, i’m trying to become a caretaker, i’m a great caretaker and extremely caring person, but if my landlord finds out he’ll raise my rent which i can’t afford, i need to save money so i can get out of this dump! He is a shady slumlord and it’s not fair that the goverment housed me here. he charges everyone different amounts based on their income, even though all the apartments are the same. I’ve seen all of them. they’re all equally crappy, i don’t want to cheat the government but i don’t want my landlord to find out. If i cash the check at a liqour store or currency exchange, could he find out? this is not a subsidised building, i’m just on a special program and everyone complains about the big difs in rent and don’t understand it. He does it because he lets people in with felony records and bad credit and such, cuz he can get away with it.

I do not understand that if it is not subsidized how the government could place you there. It is not the landlord you need to worry about. If you are on SSI and then work without reporting it, you will be guilty of fraud on the Government. That is serious trouble.
