Two Ways to Turn a Major Setback into a Turning Point that Makes You Money

Do you have some garbage in your past that you would like to turn into gold?

We all do. For example, suppose you had a major setback that still resonates with disappointment. Perhaps you went bankrupt, got fired, or lost a lot of money doing something that was sort of foolish from the word “Go!”

Well, what can I say? These things happen.

So turn this pile of garbage into the gold of motivation. Make this event a turning point that rockets you to new success and unprecedented amounts of money.

Here are two ways to do this. The first way uses a simple gesture.

Call to mind an image of the event in question. Imagine that this imagine appears on a screen of thin paper directly in front of you at arm’s length. The paper is pulled taut around the edges.

You could just punch right though that image on that thin paper, could you not?

And that is the idea. As you see this image directly in front of you, make a fist and punch right through it!

Hear the paper rip and feel your fist go right through the paper. For added emphasis, you can yell or use a karate chop instead. And you can say with feeling “Never again!” as you punch though this debacle from the past.

However you do it, this technique neutralizes disappointment and turns it into a feeling of powerful motivation.

The second way capitalizes on the characteristic way we use our voices and our bodies to emphasize a point.

When you make a point in conversation that you want to emphasize, you use a certain tone of voice or tilt your head in a particular fashion. You may assume a certain posture or gesture with a characteristic manner that expresses your strong feelings.

Here is how to discover your unique way of making a point with power and impact and use it to turn a disappointing experience into the starting point of new success and more money.

Call to mind something about which you feel strongly. Imagine explaining how you feel about this issue to someone standing directly in front of you.

Let your mind adjust your point of view so that you see this scene as if through your own eyes. Sense the particular sound of your voice, the characteristic gestures you make, and the look in your eyes. And note the feelings of energy and certainty that you generate.

Now call to mind an incident about which you feel disappointment that might have caused you financial limitation. Say “Never again!” in your characteristic way that says “I mean business!”

As you do this, your physiology will summon all your emotional power. And “Never again!” will really mean “Never again!”

So say “Never again!” like you mean business. It is good for business. Your business!
