How To Make Money Surveys

On online surveys where you make money, how can you tell if they aren’t scams?

I want to make money other than a paper round or something as I am only 14 but my parents seem to think they are all scams and won’t let me join. How can you tell if they aren’t scams? Or if they won’t rip you off or anything?
