How To Make Money Trucking

How much money do you make driving trucks cross country and how many days are you on the road at a time?

My boyfriend wants to get his CDL license and we were wondering how long you have to be away for when you start out and how much you can expect to make?

Here are some things to think about.
.He will be out for an average of 3 weeks with 1 day off for every 7 days out.
.He will have to drive up to 11 hour a day sometimes day or night.
.His first year he can make an average of $30,000 to $35,000 year.
.The pay will vary from week to week.
.He will drive about 2,500 or more mile a week.
.He will go cities like LA or Dallas and will probably get lost unless he buys a GPS unit.
.He will have to drive in all types of weather, snow and ice, and of course the rain. Snow means that he will have to put chains on.

Now for me I enjoy making a living this way, but it is not for everyone.
